Christmas Appeal for Children 1st

This year at James Gillespie’s we are asking pupils from S1-S6 to donate a gift to our Christmas appeal. Staff at the school will also be supporting this event. Pupils do not need to spend large amounts of money. A stocking filler or small gift would be very welcome. Suggestions include sweeties, chocolates, pens, pencils, notepads, books, hats, gloves, selection box etc.

Gifts should be new and brought in unwrapped. Pupils should bring the gift to their registration class and their teacher will collect them. Alternatively they can also be handed in to Mrs Fallon in the Support for Learning Department or to guidance staff in PSE lessons. The appeal will run for the month of November. All gifts will then be given to Children 1st who will distribute them to children who otherwise will get very little for Christmas.

Children 1st is a Scottish children’s charity. They support children for a range of reasons including survivors of abuse, neglect and other traumatic events in childhood.

Thank-you in advance for your support!

Mrs L Fallon.
