Business Management at JGHS gives pupils a practical understanding of how organisations operate — from product development and marketing to finance and economics — developing the skills they need for work and life in a modern economy.

S1 – S2


Pupils study Business Education for one period per week in S2, covering a range of Experiences and Outcomes across business contexts and people in society. Units completed include:

Pupils develop practical digital skills throughout — using Microsoft Office, Office 365, Microsoft Teams and internet research — building a foundation for certificated courses in Business Management and Administration & IT.

Business Management — analysis of business decision-making, financial management, marketing and operations.

S5 – S6


Higher

Business Management — in-depth study of management of people, finance, marketing and operations in a business context.

Business Management — extended analysis and independent research into complex business issues and strategies.
