Dance at JGHS is an expressive, creative and physical subject that develops performance skills, choreographic understanding and artistic sensibility. Pupils work across a range of dance styles and traditions, developing technique, spatial awareness, and the ability to communicate ideas and emotions through movement.
S1 – S2
Dance is part of the S2 PE curriculum, giving all pupils an introduction to dance as a physical and expressive art form. Pupils explore movement vocabulary, spatial awareness and rhythmic skills across a range of styles.
